The Inaugural Women in digital honorary recognition was held in April 2017 where 25 most influential women in digital were announced. The announcement happened online and generated a lot of interest and excitement from honorees and their fans.

This initiative recognizes women doing great work in digital who have directly or indirectly contributed to the growth and use of digital for personal and societal good. The women are innovators, entrepreneurs, corporate trendsetters doing big and small things to make the world a better place.

Currently serving as the Client Partner Lead for East Africa at Aleph Holdings, she plays a pivotal role in managing partnerships with leading platforms like TikTok, Spotify, and X (formerly Twitter). Her responsibilities include driving regional sales growth, creating strategic opportunities, and fostering valuable relationships in the digital marketing space.

Felistus is a dynamic professional in digital strategy and community engagement, with extensive experience spanning content partnerships, campaign management, and creative leadership across diverse industries. Through her leadership in digital platforms and innovative campaigns, she has played a significant role in shaping the future of content creation and marketing in the region. At TikTok, Felistus builds innovative campaigns and educational initiatives to drive product adoption across Africa.

Ivy Wanjiru, widely known as “Just Ivy Africa”, is a prominent digital content creator, digital entrepreneur and thinkfluencer. As the founder of Just Ivy Africa Company Limited, Ivy has established herself as a leading voice in Kenya's digital space, leveraging her expertise in brand positioning, marketing strategy, and market strategy and a voice in money matters. She has built a vibrant social media community since the days she used to be part of the “Over 25 channel” a collaborative channel offering insights on lifestyle, relationships, and career development.

In her current position as the Digital Marketing Specialist at Stanbic, Wairimu is responsible for Optimizing user experience across Stanbic Digital assets, collaboration with digital innovation teams and championing digital first strategy throughout the organization. Stanbic has a vibrant digital marketing assets supported by growing employee advocacy program. Before joining Stanbic, Wairimu was the Digital Lead at Saracen OMD responsible for creating digital marketing strategies for different clients and continuous digital team upskilling.
